Shri Ananda Rao
Shri Ananda Rao, holds a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and Masters Degree in Traffic Environment and Safety Management from Sweden. He has served in various positions in Karnataka handling important responsibilities, particularly in the field of Fuel switch & Environment conservation for the Transport sector. As Executive Director, an apex body of State Road Transport Undertakings (ASRTU), policy board member of the UITP- International association of public transport, he has accomplished several innovative projects for the country, as Director, International Solar Alliance on international projects.
He has presented National and International papers on public Transport with special emphasis to Environment and climate change, IES project funded under the SUTP assisted GEF - World Bank, spearheaded the implementation of Ethanol blended Diesel for the first time in the country on a commercial scale on over 2000 buses.
