Mr.Sankalp Purwar
Sankalp Purwar works on climate and energy transition, with a focus on what it takes to make it work on the ground.
He is currently Lead Climate Officer & Head of Partnerships at Center for Research and Implementation for Decarbonisation (CRID), where he leads work on industrial decarbonisation, from identifying opportunities to building and executing solutions.
Previously, Sankalp headed the Energy and Environment Department at ISMA, India’s largest biofuel consortium, leading the transformation of sugar mills into integrated biorefineries and promoting climate-aligned agricultural practices impacting over 55 million farmers.
He has participated in and led discussions at global platforms such as Clean Energy Ministerial, BRICS forums, COP and is an Environmental Engineering graduate from Delhi Technological University.
