Mr. Vijendra Singh
Vijendra Singh has over 43 years of experience in the sugar and ethanol industry, during which he has managed sugar & ethanol businesses in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, and Maharashtra in India, as well as in Brazil. He currently serves as the President of the All India Distillers’ Association (AIDA) — the apex national body representing the distillery and ethanol industry in India — and is also the Executive Director & Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Shree Renuka Sugars Limited, one of India’s prominent integrated sugar and bioenergy companies
Education & Early Career
Mr.Singh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Meerut University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Sugar Technology from the National Sugar Institute, Kanpur, and an MBA in Finance. He began his career as a management trainee with DCM Shriram Industries Ltd., where he gained strong experience in operations, technology integration, and plant efficiency.
Professional Journey
Shri Vijendra Singh has held senior leadership roles at Bajaj Hindusthan, overseeing technical operations across multiple manufacturing units and driving operational efficiencies. He joined Shree Renuka Sugars Limited in 2010 and has since been instrumental in strengthening performance, expanding the company’s business portfolio, and advancing bioenergy initiatives, including ethanol production. Under his leadership, the company diversified into bio-plastics, bio-fertilizers, and renewable energy solutions, and he also holds leadership positions in allied agribusiness and engineering entities
Role at AIDA
Shri Singh was elected President of AIDA at the Annual General Meeting held on 8 August 2025, succeeding the previous office-bearer and taking stewardship of the association’s strategic initiatives and industry advocacy from 9 August 2025. In his role, he represents the distillery and ethanol sector on policy, regulatory, sustainability, and industry-development platforms.
